Southern Kern Veterinary Clinic, Inc., is fully equipped to perform most surgical procedures. Prior to each procedure, every patient receives a thorough physical examination and laboratory blood testing to check on overall health and identify any anesthetic risks. We perform a variety of surgical procedures ranging from routine spays and neuters to advanced soft tissue surgery.
At Southern Kern Veterinary Clinic, Inc., we are committed to ensuring that your pet's pain is kept to a minimum. We offer pain management treatments that include both injectible and oral pain medications, during post operative recovery. We will take every measure to eliminate your pet's pain and any stress related problems experienced from surgery or treatment procedures. Dr. Stephanie Darrow and her staff will treat your pet with the same care and compassion as if your pet were our own.
Physical examination is performed to detect signs of illness before they become severe. Some of the most common things your veterinarian looks for include underlying ear and eye disease, skin lumps, dental tarter and gingivitis, body weight, heart arrhythmias, lymph node enlargements, abdominal organ abnormalities, and skeletal diseases such as arthritis. Prevention of disease and degenerative problems can add many healthy and happy years to your pet's life.
COMPLETE LABORATORY ANALYSIS
Our on-site laboratory facilities allow us to obtain lab test results quickly to facilitate our ability to diagnose your pet and select the right form of treatment. Comprehensive diagnostic procedures enable us to recommend the most effective form of treatment to keep your pet healthy and happy.
Our state of the art, in-house digital radiology unit, allows for superior visualization when each radiograph is taken. Digitizing the image permits us to enlarge particular regions of the radiograph, as well as brightness and contrast modification, providing the best quality care for our patients.
We also offer advanced Ultrasound technology to help us diagnose your pet's medical condition without the trauma of invasive exploratory surgery. Ultrasound imaging can give us a clear and precise format from which to determine the most effective treatment options for your pet.
PET DENTAL CARE
Dental care is as important to your pet's health care as it is to your own. We provide complete veterinary dental procedures which include dental X-rays, to keep your pet's teeth and gums healthy.
